Here are my final fabrics for my sportswear collection, I have designed the print on the neoprene fabric which I think will look really effective on my garments. My other favourite fabric is the reflective stretch as it is so bright when under the flash, I love that it is perforated too. I can't wait to see my final garments now!
I would like to create some images like this for my portfolio as initial inspiration pages as I think that it is a really effective way of using colour and materials to give the illustration more depth and texture.
Jenny Postle came to PCA to do a machine knit workshop with us, I had never tried to machine knit before so for me it was learning the basics! Jenny taught me how to cast on and knit some rows of basic stitches.I also learnt how to change colour and make lace holes and ladders! Changing ColourLace Holes and LaddersBA in textiles – specialised in knit, hand knitting – 3 garments. Masters in fashion – specialising in knitwear, pattern/print. Stitching and fabric manipulation on top of knit – in keeping with the textile route. Plastics – cable ties. Inspiration – Memphis furniture, glass and pottery.
